Leonard is at the viewer's left wearing a cap. The woman on his left is Helen Gilley. Bea Setliff is at the viewer's right. Likely Taft Gilley took the snapshot. Leonard and Bea Setliff ran the Fieldale Cafe across from the Elementary School. Taft and Helen Gilley ran the T&H Grill across from the Y. Both places were very popular with teenagers of the 50s and 60s. The T& H was THE PLACE to hang out before school as it was within sight and running distance of the High School. The Setliffs had three children. The Gilleys had no children. Both families were very good to their customers! |
