Little Boys Grow Up To Be Marines |
|
Robert Franklin Barker graduated from Fieldale High School in 1963. I remember him as a little boy. We called him as Frankie. Today I still know him as an old guy ... still Frankie. After graduation Frank joined the Marines. He served in Vietnam and Japan. This is the second picture in his Collection. Frank participated in NEVER FORGET, the Vietnam Exhibit by Tom Perry at the Martinsville and Henry County Historical Center in 2011. IMHO the Vietnam Exhibit was the Center's and Perry's best exhibit ever. I would like to see it shown again. 8/7-2014. Comment From A Reader (IP Address: 73.40.42.66): I still love you Frankie!! We wrote so many letters to each other, while you were in Nam...I am so happy for your participation in this event. Everyone know how special you are.... |
